I'll be honest the thumbnail is a little misleading I thought this had something to do with YouTube music but it actually had more to do with BuzzFeed

Podcasting is actually much easier to produce, as a beginning content creator, than a Youtube Channel. One advantage of doing so being that you can actually monetize your podcast right away, unlike Youtube, which requires you to meet certain criteria before being monetized.

Also, the transition to Youtube can be pretty seamless, once you understand that a podcast recording is little more than an audio-only live stream & that you can utilize the same software to produce both simultaneously. If you structure/format your podcast/Livestream into segments, those segments can then easily be broken down & edited into separate YouTube videos.

Also, I recommend that you reserve your initial Livestream for your paid membership tier, allowing your members access to your newest content days/weeks in advance. Regardless, of what you your initial plan is, doing both – over the long term – is a no-brainer, not to mention that you get maximum value while repurposing content. It's all about making the most quality & quantity out of the least amount of effort.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people do is not start their channel cos they think everything is so expensive. You don't need to spend thousands to get started. You can literally start making videos with your smart phone and a decent mic and achieve some surprisingly good results. The biggest mistakes you can do is not start a channel!
