Your Job Should Treat You Like a Person Not an Employee

Spread the love

Work culture and company morale are foundational to a business’s success. Too many businesses operate on fear. Employees that work from a place of fear causes so much distrust and miscommunication that ultimately hurts everyone involved. Fear needs to be eliminated from the workplace and in this keynote, I talk about why this is so important and some of the ways fear can be suffocated. We need co-ops and labor unions so that businesses are incentivized to care about people

20 years with large corporations, only lip service to caring for employees.
4 years (so far) with a small, but growing family business. Every single day the owners express their appreciation for our efforts. Amazing difference in culture.

13 years at my job and got discharged today for exactly this topic. This is crazy. I asked to be spoken to with some dignity, a little respect but it’s too much to ask. I can say with a clear conscience that I know I did nothing wrong. One door closes and another one opens.

Love this. Wish more companies thought this way. Most companies you're treated like a resource to get a job done. That's it. A number. A cog in the wheel. But remember, it's up to you to stay there or leave for green pastures. Don't blame the business. You have the power to leave.

The more I read, the more I'm disappointed in the employers I work for. If you just pick up a book from one of the greats like Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill or Og Mandino, you could change your life.

Restocking a liquor store is not hard labor. I'm not saying it's not work but hard labor it is not.

NEVER give up on yourself or your dreams! Nobody can guarantee your success, but YOU

can guarantee your failure by never getting started.
